Biography

Linda has practiced with The Saylor Law Firm LLP for seventeen years in the areas of Wills, Trusts, and Estate Planning as well as Business Law. She represents clients in the areas of Atlanta and Saint Simons Island, where she managed the firm’s office there for over fifteen years, regarding their estate and business succession planning and general corporate matters. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Muir developed her practice in business and corporate law and telecommunications for over 25 years both in private practice and with major telecommunications corporations.

A graduate of Emory University School of Law, she practiced with King & Spalding as Corporate Counsel with both Contel Corporation and GTE Corporation (now Verizon), subsequently she served as Director of Legislative & Regulatory Matters and Executive Director of Corporate Outreach with BellSouth Corporation (now AT&T).

During that phase of her career her practice included contracts, mergers, acquisitions & divestitures, procurement, employee benefits, management of outside counsel, representation before the Federal Communications Commission, and development and implementation of corporate telecommunications policies. Following early retirement from BellSouth, she continued her Business Law practice in her own firm, The Muir Law Firm LLC, before joining The Saylor Law Firm. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Muir was a systems and applications programmer with IBM Corporation in both Raleigh, North Carolina, and Boca Raton, Florida.
